Rabindranath Tagore was a great poet. He has influence on the idea of freedom and nationalism.
His Theory of Freedom :
Freedom wan not merely politicat for tagore but the mingling with the universe.Individual freedom was a growth for human civilisation and development.It was a creative and spontaneous in the human spirit and mind.That is a reason,he has againt the possessive Individualism.
Critique of Nationalism :
Rabindranath Tagore was againt the Euripean Idea of natinalism. For him ,it has a only political and economical purpose in which lacks of moral as well as social values.That kind of nationalism can promote to the iperialism and colonialism that can give birth to the war and weapons.
Diffrences with Gandhi :
Tagore was againt Gandhi for his parochical nationalism.Gandhi has support to the charkha for economic self relience.Tagore is given important to the cooperative farming.
